Kitui Court Blows the People’s Assembly Law

People’s assembly has been delta blown by the High Court in Kitui after just two days NASA leader Raila jetted back from Zanzibar. The court blocked the 47 devolved houses from discussing and adapting the assembly notion. Raila has termed the people’s assembly which brings together the elected leaders, civil society group, religious leaders and ordinary Kenyans as a way for Kenyans to exercise their sovereign power directly instead of delegating it to the elected leaders.

So far twelve of the nineteen NASA assemblies have passed the motion of the requested Assembly law.  When asked what was the effect of blowing off the people’s assembly after being passed, information was that they have to wait until next year’s January.
